Student of various schools, college and Punjab Agriculture University shown keen interest in celebrating World Earth Day, marking it as remarkable day in Ludhiana. Apart from the youngsters, school-children did also mark their presence for the cause of Global Warming.
On the eve of this day volunteers of Climate Change Group (Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College) also conducted several programs and installed Bird Pitcher’s and planted various trees around the city to attract the attention of people to follow the theme “save birds, water and trees to save our planet”. “Every day is an earth day, every day is an environment day. We must care for the planet Earth to care for us.” Dr. MS Kang, Vice-chancellor said while planting a tree at Punjab Agriculture University Ludhiana.
